Tom Brady will be the highest profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.
Roger Goodell's decision is expected to be announced next week and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.
In conversations I've had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Avenue, there is little doubt Goodell considers Brady's role in DeflateGate a serious violation.
The NFL is convinced, according to sources, that connecting all the dots of the evidence supplied by Wells leads to one conclusion:
Brady cheated.

That's funny as I learned the ideal gas law in chemistry and its theory and corrections in analytical chemistry and physical chemistry. The only thing phony is your dishonest reasoning.
You keep going on about cheating cheaters obsession yet offer only one example - a video taping of the opponents that was fined because of the location, the sidelines, which was a violation. Yet, the person taping was in Pats gear and not hiding the camera. If he was in the stands, no problems as taping the opponents play is how game films are made in high school and college and professional levels.
Brady has this one instance and yet, no real proof. Text messages from months before the game and flawed measurements that indicate both teams had under inflated balls in cold weather.
I know nothing about football, but your comment makes complete sense no matter the game.
Actually both teams were under inflated if you actually looked at the measurements and not the rumors. The ideal gas law definitely applies despite your dishonest tantrums. Just because you don’t like it and goes against your prejudices doesn’t make it fit your rabid beliefs. That’s how Leftists act.
Agreed. The penalty should be what the rules say not what the lynch mob wants.
Rush made a good point on Friday. This smells like a set up because Brady pissed off the wrong people and the Pats were too successful.
Did something happen to the balls? Quite possibly. Did the investigation, flawed to the extreme, manage to provide solid proof that Brady or the Pats organization directed events. No.
It is completely inappropriate as pounds is a measure of mass. Nothing colloquial about it. It’s sloppy and leads to inaccuracies.
But sloppy and inaccurate describes your entire argument and thought process.
Again, thank you. Good point. Good reasoning. He doesn't get it but it is reassuring to see someone else does.
How so?
Head injury driven rule changes?
Thank the old time vets who brought a class action lawsuit claiming NFL should have protected them better.
Hard discipline for off field transgressions?
The owners and TV networks want him to do that.
The fact that an integrity of the game issue now sits on his plate involving the biggest player and biggest franchise comes with the territory.
Pete Rozelle twice had to deal with big stars off field issues (Hornung/Karras suspended for a year for gambling, Namath almost so for ownership in Bachelors 3)so Goodell is going to have to suspend TB...I would guess 4 games.
Goodell isn’t the one who most likely altered game balls so don’t blame him for it, blame the Patriots.
What should happen to the referees that violated rules for leaving the balls unsupervised?
The rules say the punishment is $25k fine.
I'm not sure they violated the rules. The rule says that the game footballs will be delivered to the refs two hours and fifteen minutes prior to gametime for inspection. The rules don't say the referee retains exclusive control over them. They return them to the teams before the game starts.
If Brady hadn’t dogged Obama at the White House, they would have blamed someone else.
Each team supplies their own game balls.
A definite possibility, in my opinion. We are so third-world these days.
Rule 2 section 1
Looks like your boy got popped.
“That’s funny as I learned the ideal gas law in chemistry “
Uh, the ideal gas law relates to the PHYSICal properties of matter, not the CHEMIcal properties of matter.
Well that’s one way to beat Brady.
The other teams can’t do it on the field.
