Bronx, NY – A video published on Youtube yesterday by user benfarias13 shows an apalling abuse of power by the NYPD when they pull over and arrest a man for absolutely no reason.
The video begins with the driver sitting calmly in his car when an officer walks up and opens the car door, demanding he “step out of the car.” The cop immediately tells him to put his hands behind his back and cuffs him, asking him if he has any weapons. The man complies and replies that he does not have any weapons, asking why he’s being arrested. The officer does not answer, asking again if he has any weapons. The driver reiterates that he has no weapons, asking again why he’s being arrested. The officer’s answer? “Because.”
The man asks again,
“Because what? Why Am I being arrested? Tell me why I’m being arrested. You never even told me why I got pulled over in the first place.”
The cop repeats “You have any weapons on you?” to which the driver firmly repeats he does not. Still not getting an answer as to why he’s being detained, the driver asks
“Why did you search my vehicle, because you saw a bag? That makes no sense.”
Apparently the officers thought he was carrying a gun around in a platic bag. Understandably bewildered, the man asks
“Why would you assume there’s a weapon in a plastic bag?"

I understand that ‘power trip’ thing Scott, My only Alternative is Buy a less “Flashy Car’ or cut my HAIR, I guess.
I’m just sayin, I always give them the benefit of the doubt in my little town, cause otherwise it’s a cold night in the comal county cooler.
Think the site is one of those anti cop sites which was put on here a few days ago too.

Yea you’re right. just checked the site. It is one of those radical anti cop sites.
No worries. I know better than to ever enter that country called New York City.
I’m so sick of the anti-cop stuff here at FR. I’ve been yelled at by cops for no good reason but I still support them. That thin blue line means a lot to me - especially as someone who has lived in inner cities for portions of my life. Cops can be your best friend in that situation.
Another edited tape?
It’s just a handful who have an agenda and are quick to post anarchist websites but disappear when a cop say down in TX saves lives or they run to burning vehicles.
The last time this website was put on here it was shown that the video was very much edited and the story with it was all lies.

Always a possibility. The tape makers could have hired actors and rented uniforms to make it appear that police are being abusive.
It certainly can be done.
I will wait for the denials by the NYPD and the defamation lawsuit by the NYPD Union to assume so.
The last contractor was a complete joke we had and tried ripping us off as well as doing shoddy work.

What these guys did is called conspiracy. That’s criminal activity. We don’t all commit conspiracy. Get real!
Do tell how the fact five NYPD cops have been shot justifies stopping and detaining a citizen for a cause they made up on the fly?
I have backed the police during the Michael Brown case and other similar situations, but I’ll be damned if I’m such a badge worshipper that I don’t see a power trip for what it is.
This video doesn’t pass the sniff test.
I’ll bet it went something like this. He gets pulled over, hands over his license etc, they run him and he knows he’s got a warrant out, THEN he starts the camera rolling.
I think because it is on this website which has proven last time when it was posted on here that the tape was edited and the story behind it was lies.
It’s obvious the website is anti cop and has an agenda so I will wait to pass judgment when I see this on a non biased anti cop website.

We are all Human, bound to make mistakes, some more Drastic as others was my point....Perfection is found in many places, but NOT in Human Nature. Three Mile Island and Chernobyl ring a bell?
If that were the case, then they could have told him “we have a warrant for your arrest”.
Of course, unless they had probable cause to stop him, it is all “fruit of the poison tree”.
You may not just stop someone for no reason. It takes real arrogance not to come up with a reason. For vehicle stops, reasons are pretty easy.
