I boxed at a battalion competition while in the Army. After winning two fights of 3 three minute rounds and the runner up award, I retired lol.
My Dad won the Golden Gloves; and then in his first pro fight got beaten badly.
He wisely decided to get out of the game. He was so handsome, everyone thought he should have gone to Hollywood, instead of fighting. I guess he decided to save what he had goin’ for him ;-)
