I dont remember there ever having been any earthquaakes IN Michigan in the 2 decades I lived there as a kid,

We’ve had at least 3 in Michigan that I know of since the 1980’s. Very small, but you do notice when it happens.

Most of us only think about the fault line out west, but there are some in the eastern half of the US and elsewhere.

We had a mild tremor in western PA many years ago. I remember the TV news lady interviewing a guy who had been watching the Steelers. His set was on a stand with wheels and when the tremor hit, the TV and the stand slid across the floor and tipped over. The owner said he had had a few beers and thought he was seeing things.

But while people only a few miles away might feel the quake, you might not. I didn't feel that tremor years ago and the drunk guy who did lived just across the river from me.
