Mrs. Outrider (born and raised here in MN) tells me it is not unusual for it to snow in June! I followed her to the Rez back in ‘09 and have seen heavy white stuff in May... Heaven forbid it this year! (Even though we could use some more precipitation up here, like most of the U.S....)

I believe it. That’s the way it was in S. Dakota. We stayed there for 1 year, while Hubby got his Master’s degree. I couldn’t wait to get back to Missouri.

The first snowfall was 21 inches late Sept. or early Oct. and it stayed the whole winter with storm after storm piling up. It was up to our windows on the trailer. I went out to get the mail one day and was walking along way up in the air on top of the snow.

Leaned over and reached down to open the mail box, and the crust broke and I sunk down to my shoulders in the snow bank. Thought I was going to freeze before I could get out of the danged thing.

The snow didn’t even begin to think about melting until long about the end of June.
