“Now, more than ever, racial tensions are off the charts”
Ah, yes. The real successes of community organizing are being shown here (do I actually need the sarc?).

Yep, I stated it earlier.
Any criticism of their behavior or culture is “racist”.
I truly believe they are upset that their cultural behavioral tendencies are in the range of “unacceptable” to “criminal”.

According to Kenjus Watson, the organizer of the sit-in, one such correction was Professor Rust telling a student that she shouldnt have capitalized indigenous in her assignments. Kenjus claims this correction was ideologically-motivated. I didn't know that the classification of adjectives from proper nouns was ideologically motivated.

My grammar died in NC twenty years ago, after a slow decline due to dementia. Most young Americans lost theirs before they ever started.
Just one example out of perhaps a thousand: if I had a dollar for every time a student of mine “defiantly” believed something that s/he definitely believed, I could fund Jameis “There is no I in James” Winston’s signing bonus, and throw in a few crab legs at no extra charge.

By all means, just give all ‘people of color’ passing grades. Don’t even grade their “work.” Then when they graduate they can start their own record label or marry a Kardashian.

Precision in language is a major contributor to precision in thought.
Sooooo many of our young people can’t speak clearly and don’t think clearly.
I remember back in grade school I had to learn how to diagram a sentence. Today’s kids would just draw a blank.

Sorry, liberals, education in the REAL arts and sciences are for adults.

Professor Rust admitted likely making matters worse by not taking the side of a minority student who was in an argument with a white student. The minority student had argued with the white female student that she had no right to feel oppressed. Rust hadnt agreed with either side; simply choosing to stay out of it. With every BS racist incident, more and more people are taking the "boy who claimed wolf" approach and ignoring them, yet they think they are making progress.

Would someone please explain to me how in the heck proper grammar is racist? Is it not the point of higher education to educate students and not rubber stamp ignorance?
