Misnamed “conservatives”… also known as the GOPe. With their (also misnamed) “progressive” allies they are guardians of the 1%. Both favor top-down all powerful centralized government with strangling taxes and regulations on the common folk! When the GOP swept the 2014 midterms, sadly these people (Boehner, McConnell, etc.) were left in place. They and Obama have few disagreements. Think pro wrestling... it looks like a fight, sounds like a fight... but all is scripted and the outcome predetermined!
Jeb Bush (and also Hillary?) is their preferred candidate for 2016.

This article implies we don’t belong in the middle east and the writer is sadly mistaken. Power abhors a vacuum. If we abandon our allies over there, they will find new allies. I promise you, we won’t like their new friends (Russia and China). I agree we don’t stick our nose in every business, but we do need to get involved when our national security interests are at stake. We are in a new type of war since 9/11. Really, since the fall of the Shah of Iran. This is assymetrical warfare and most times will not involve large armies and big campaigns. If we don’t do this work, there will be many more 9/11’s.
It has also fallen to us (mostly) to keep the world’s waterways open and free to commerce. Most of our international trade is by ship. Would we rather go back to the days of our founders and just pay off rogue states to allow us to conduct trade near their waterways (Barbary Pirates)? For many years, this job was mostly tackled by the UK. After WWII it fell to us. Do we abandon this role? Get ready to pay a lot higher prices for those goods as the cost of doing business in the modern world increases with payoffs to jackboot thugs overseas so they don’t attack the worlds shipping.
Krauthamer is no friend of conservatives.
Neo-conservative is an odd term since they are the ideological heirs of Teddy Roosevelt’s economic activism in domestic affairs, and imperialism in foreign affairs.

The present administration has been Bush-bashing, in true Soviet style, for the last 7 years.
I find this ‘discovered truth’, rather conveniently timed, since the on-air “krauthammer, you are a neocon .. No, i’m not!” recently, and the few days ago anti-Obama verbage spoken by G.W. Bush, former President.
As to the correctness of all the information, since there are a lot of hidden Internet links, I doubt it.
As to someone’s grand idea, that ‘the neocon’ still lives, and is oppressing the minds of those in fly-over America, they need another ex-lax tablet.

Hippie drug taking and the Founding Fathers really do not mix. George Washington opposed sexual perversion. Thomas Jefferson thought men having sex with men should be castrated and if it was a women, then she should have part of her face gouged out. Whatever these Libertarian types advocate, it is not the principles of the Founding Fathers.
They also believe that morals come not from an Objectively True G-d but from "culture" and that culture is created by genes and chromosomes. In other words, it's just another G-dless, atheistic worldview that pays lip service to a local, ethnic "gxd."
And isn't it curious how these "palaeos" always seem to omit how many of their own heroes started out on the Left? In fact the "old right" of the 30s was nothing but the "old left" of the 20s. Many WWII-era isolationists were simply 20's radicals who stayed true to their original ideals rather than constantly change the "party line." Burton K. Wheeler, "right winger" of the New Deal era, had been a notorious pro-red radical the previous decade. Oswald Garrison Villard is another example of the same phenomenon.
