Where do America's most racist people live? "The rural Northeast and South," suggests a new study just published in PLOS ONE.
The paper introduces a novel but makes-tons-of-sense-when-you-think-about-it method for measuring the incidence of racist attitudes: Google search data. The methodology comes from data scientist Seth Stephens-Davidowitz. He's used it before to measure the effect of racist attitudes on Barack Obama's electoral prospects.

Raciss, Raciss, Raciss......
This is meaningless. WHO are the racists? I see far more black racists than I do white.
I’m not going to waste my time on deconstructing someone’s hairbrained formula for measuring racism. It’s absurd to think someone “calculated” it. They should pass a law that it is “illegal” to be racists and call the “problem” solved.
Hey, it’s Google.
Hey, its Google.
And the WaPo.
Feggedabowdit!
Nobody uses the N-word like black people, so this map makes no sense.
No rhyme nor reason to that map.
L.A., Houston, Chicago, Detroit, New York all show up in elevated areas of racism. All areas controlled with a death grip by Democrats.
Funny...it certainly looks like Obama won many of the states which this map covers (especially the “MUCH MORE THAN AVERAGE” sections) in 2008. And again in 2012.
How does that equate into his “calculated” formula?!?
Arrowhead region of Minnesota. Also solid lefty territory.
Where do they come up with this shitte?
10. “Divide and govern” is a maxim consecrated by the experience of ages, and should be familiar in its use to every politician as the knife he carries in his pocket. In the work here to be executed, the best effects may be produced by this maxim, and with peculiar facility. An extensive republic made up of lesser republics necessarily contains various sorts of people, distinguished by local and other interests and prejudices.
11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.
Rules for radicals? No, “Rules for Changing ”

I’d bet dimes to donuts that they’ve defined racist such that blacks cannot be racist.
I live in one of those areas and we have almost no black people. Almost all the black kids have a white parent, usually the mother. Racism is non-existent.
Urban areas are much more racist that the Appalachian mountains.

Looks like more in the North to me.
Apparently I’m a Raciss...Is that good or bad???
Funny how “flyover country” is “much less than average”....
