Jones is flat out stripped of the belt. Vacant title on the line.
I’ve got Rumble over DC.
I’m not a huge fan of DC put props to him for stepping up on short notice. Jones once refused to fight Chael Sonnen on short notice cause Greg Jackson told him not to, when he eventually did fight Chael, it was a curb stomp.
Jones will probably get a slap on the wrist and will be back in action in a year or 2.

Jones was recently arrested in Albuquerque, N.M. on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury. As a result of the charge and other violations of the Athlete Code of Conduct Policy, the organization believes it is best to allow Jones time to focus on his pending legal matters.
UFC feels strongly that its athletes must uphold certain standards both in and out of the Octagon. While there is disappointment in the recent charges, the organization remains supportive of Jones as he works through the legal process.”

It’s fine to support the man, clearly he needs help, but it’s the right thing to do to not let him represent the sport or the UFC as he has shown he cannot handle it.
Whatever the case may be, he needs to get his head screwed on straight.

More bad news for 187, Khabib Nurmagomedov hurt in training, out of his LW title eliminator with Cowboy Cerrone (I was picking and rooting for Cerrone in that one but Khabib was the betting favorite).
Cerrone will instead face John Makdessi, who’s coming off in win at UFC 186. Should be a good fight but no more than a tuneup for Cowboy as he’ll likely get a date with the champion.
I saw that very Disappointed I say Cowboy by 1st round KO.
