You need to understand what you are doing. The image has to be on a server connected to the Internet, meaning you have to upload your image to that server. Once it is on the server you can display it with the < img src=URL> tag.
  1. Locate the image file on your hard drive (C:\download\photo.jpg, for instance.)
  2. Go to http://imgurl.com and upload the image file to their server.
  3. Copy the URL of the image file that is on their server.
  4. Link to the image as < img src="http://imgur.com/ygebg.jpg">.
