Used to be. That seems to be going away too. Of course a lot of what makes somebody a Heisman bust is that teams trade away extra picks to get them. When you use up 3, 4, 5 picks to get a guy you’re giving up talent elsewhere, and nobody on an NFL team can succeed without help. Best QB that ever walked the earth with no blocking and crappy receivers will be out of the league in 3 years. Great RB with no blocking and no passing threat isn’t going to accomplish much either.

Yeah, unless you've built a near-great team that genuinely just needs that one missing piece, trading up seems like a bad idea.
