London - The United Nations human rights chief on Friday called on Britain to tackle hate speech in the tabloid press after a columnist compared migrants to “cockroaches” and advocated using gunboats to stop them from coming to Europe.
New High Commissioner of the UN for Human Rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein said the article was an extreme example of anti-foreigner articles that frequently appeared in UK tabloids, sapping compassion for people drowning in the Mediterranean in the desperate attempt to reach Europe.
He called on Britain and other EU countries to act against racism and xenophobia which “under the guise of freedom of expression, are being allowed to feed a vicious cycle of vilification, intolerance and politicisation of migrants”.
The Sun newspaper, part of Rupert Murdoch's media empire, published the article by Katie Hopkins on April 17.
Britain's Metropolitan Police said it had received complaints that it amounted to incitement of racial hatred and the matter was being considered.
A spokesman for The Sun declined to comment.

Migrants is such a deceitful deceptive term used by apologists and sympathizers to try and convey some meaning of a peoples only seasonally moving from one place or another and then back home for work picking crops or some such nonsense.
What these people are is ILLEGALS. They don’t migrate; they INFEST! They ARE cockroaches - their primary interests aren’t jobs. They’re looking for legitimacy and that entitlement teat.

Illegal aliens are an infestation so I don’t see the problem with calling them cockroaches. Besides, it is rather apt. The amnesty crowd loves them until they have to come home with them.

Here and now in this country they aren’t scurrying. That’s the problem. Because of lawless Obama they are emboldened to the point of blatant revolt. His DHS ghouls now flying to their home countries and picking them up now to deliver them here just adds to their self-assurance they will be legitimate citizens very soon.
They are, in fact, the materialization of this country’s annihilation. If they are allowed to become formally (through benefit of law) legitimized, they will not only bankrupt us further, but they WILL vote an early end to this Republic. I am certain of it.
I had heard that there were enough here already to tip an election if legitimized..and they haven’t stopped scurrying over the border yet.
Actually, there was an earlier thread here where reports are that actual physical southern border crossings are down. That’s because our DHS or whoever in this government is actually flying planes down there and getting these rats.
My personal guess is that there are already 40-50 million illegals here. You cannot go anywhere (and I mean anywhere) where you don’t see some little Mexican (I call all of them that - sue me) once a day. In some places it’s all you see.

Why does the press keep calling these people “immigrants”? They are not birds immigrating north to south for the winter. They are illegal aliens...why not say so? To me it is another example of political correctness that is killing western civilization.

It is an apt analogy. Spot on, actually.
You are right. But plagues aren’t usually associated with some sentient purpose. By their nature they are completely oblivious to anything but opportunity to multiply.
In the case of illegals, their purpose is acutely destructive and selfish. There is no one in this country that could logically and sanely argue the value added with them without inject the horse sh!t notion of dreams and wanting to do better and all that nonsense. There simply is no value added save that one liberal unicorn - an instant massive deciding vote total on their side.
It is all about “the vote”. That’s all they want. Our sovereignty and future legacy be damned. These enabling Democrats and liberals (even some citizen Hispanics) only are looking for the power, control and the money and riches that come with. They could give a damn about our founding fathers, our Constitution or our values as long as THEY gain control.
In the end, if they are allowed to succeed, the USA will become just another third-world sh!t hole with some despotic “Dreamer” in charge and disappearing his/her dissenters in the night like all the rest of South America.
Actually I think cockroach is a better description of how they act than migrant.
Why don’t we point the finger at Mexico and ask them why their citizens can’t wait to get out....they ought to take better care of their own people - talk about the 1% - there’s a lot of money there concentrated and same with the other “migrant” countries. Why is the American middle class supposed to pay for their greedy 1%?
Cockroaches sounds right to me. Unwanted, uinivited, freeloading, filthy, procreate without restraint or responsibility. Yeah, cockroaches!
