NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — A Columbia University senior filed a lawsuit against the school Thursday, claiming that the university failed to protect him from harassment amid claims that he had raped a fellow student.
The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Manhattan U.S. District Court by Paul Nungesser. The German citizen said the student’s campaign to muddy his name by dragging a mattress around campus and demonstrating has isolated him and hurt his job prospects and ability to stay in America.

I understand the basis of his lawsuit if it were against her. But since Columbia held a tribunal and found him not liable, what is the basis of his lawsuit against the university?
Columbia is responsible for not stopping the tramp from dragging her matress.

The accuser suffer consequences as well. She might be judgement proof now, but having a judgement hanging over her most of her adult life might deter others from falsely accusing innocent males.
California’s “yes means yes” law turns the idea of sexual consent upside down. Suddenly, nearly all sex is rape, unless no person involved reports it as such.
Consent, under the California law that is spreading to other American universities, is required to be “ongoing throughout a sexual activity and can be revoked at any time.” The law also states that “a lack of protest or resistance does not mean consent, nor does silence mean consent.” Also, previous sexual activity “should never by itself be assumed to be an indicator of consent.”
The law also states that incapacitation due to drugs or alcohol is considered nonconsensual. In theory, one could imagine that meaning black-out drunk or visibly not in control of one’s actions. But in practice, even having one or two drinks hours before sexual activity can constitute “too drunk to consent.”
By this definition, the only sex that isn’t rape is sex where consent can be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt for every stage of the activity. Sure, that sounds reasonable, but the fact that one of the bill’s sponsors doesn’t know how anyone could prove consent tells you a lot about the bill.

false claims commonplace vs rise in rape because of “free love”, homosexual, and pedophile “normality.” Take your pick. How many more people are actually raped than falsely accused? It is immorality in all aspects that should be fought tooth and nail. The falsely accused may suffer lifelong effects, and so do rape victims.
He could become famous by championing victims of rape. Turn it around. Be a hero.
