Nobody said the Watch was a phone. Good job starting your retort off with a non sequitur.
I’m a heart patient. I’m alive because a computer and mechanical valve keep my heart functioning. Damn straight the Watch’s biometrics will be useful. I’m quite interested in detailed continuing heart monitoring.
If I wanted a watch that just told time (inaccurately at that) I’d stick to my $500 Movado.
Taking a watch off and putting it in a safe place daily isn’t a problem. I never slept with a watch when I did wear one.
If taking off a watch daily is too much for you, then yes the Apple Watch is not for you. Don’t get one. Leave such sophistication to someone who can handle it.
IIRC, you said you were going to upgrade one of your apps to work with the watch. Did you get that done yet?
I'm only asking because this guy is obsessed with the question.
Did you have the doctors and nurses checked? Were any of them gay?
What? It should be a phone at that price.
Wait, it requires a phone anyway, so it is a phone extension. It doesn’t tell time very well since you have to wave your hand around like an idiot to tell time. But it does a lot of other useless crap, so enjoy.
If you need continuous biometrics, you should be in ICU. Are you a stooge who wants to sit there obsessing with your vitals? I’ve had two bypasses with stints and I don’t give a crap what my pulse is every second.
Enjoy life without the all the distractions. Movado “watches” (the first Apple watch) are crap. Stick with Tag Heuer, Breitling, Rado, and Rolex. Hell, a $50 Timex tells time pretty damned good. Check your pulse when you need to. A decent watch will time it to the nearest second.
