Sometimes. They didn't have any luck in the server market because data center manager wouldn't pay extra for pretty boxes that were going to get racked up in dark glass rooms where nobody could see them. I can see that. I would suppose the best characteristic of a server would be cost and reliability as well as ease of configuration. Bells and Whistles are not needed.

Reliability is definitely at the top of the list. Ease of maintenance I think counts for more than ease of configuration. Can you hot-swap a failed power supply or hard drive, or add memory or procs without having to uncable it and take it completely out of the rack.
