The hymen is a membrane which exists near the opening of the vagina and is usually intact in females who have not had intercourse. It generally does have one or more perforations (openings) but will still be present until it is parted.

This can result from physical activity and can occur from vigorous strain, in addition to penetration. Activities such as horseback riding, gymnastics, or certain trauma. It can occur from tampon use or masturbation

The intact hymen is often considered to signify virginity but is not conclusive. Doctors have been able to repair torn hymens using surgery in certain societies who consider virginity essential for marriage.

No problem. I’ve known a great deal of athletes growing up. None were “deflowered” in the sports they participated in. The only girl I knew that had an issue was in a traumatic accident that broke her pelvic bone. The last thing her parents worried about was that she wasn’t a “medical” virgin.
