Its those wacky gadget obsessed Asians who are the biggest buyers even though the instruction manuals have not been translated. Apples usual target demographic of gays, feminazis and jaded hipsters are sitting this one out because the coolness factor is missing
Any Male that Votes Democrat should have his Testicles sitting in a Box on Hillary’s Mantle.
The problem with a poll at this stage is that nearly no one answering has actually seen one. The early adopters looking to buy sight unseen don’t represent what the market for the watch will be in the future.
I think it's a crappy, poorly-thought-out, click-bait survey, being responded to by bored spoofers.
More proof that tech writers WHORES will do ANYTHING -- ANYTHING -- to put "Apple" in a headline for page hits.
I just have been experimenting with their "interactive" data. . . and IT is cool. You can play with the data to find out what every sector of the data means. Apparently I was wrong about this being self-selected survey, but it is much more accurate than that. What IS wrong about it is the conclusions drawn by the author of the news article. Apparently the author forgot to clear his filters as he went along.
For example his claim of only "3% in the Far West" Is totally wrong. . . with all filters cleared except "Far West" the figure is 7.4% who plan on buying an Apple Watch. I could not believe his original "Far West" claim, it was so far off reality. Similarly, the ethnicity figures seem warped by other filters being left selected. i could not duplicate his percentages. Now it makes me question how many of his other conclusions are based on carelessly not clearing the filters before making his other conclusions?
Still, it's fun to play with the data. it's rapid and interesting.
M wife’s cousin is a very devout Catholic ,very conservative intact family with husband and two teenage sons, and she works at the Apple store. Has for years.
Why? In part she is very intelligent. Traded the idea of becoming a doctor, for becoming a mother.
So it is mentally stimulating to work there for her.
I found that with a cleared filter 8% intending to buy an Apple Watch were Democrat and 7% were Republican. . . But if you left the filter checked for voting for either Obama or Romney, the it was 6.4% and 4.9% respectively. Amusing.
8% of the currently unemployed are planning to buy an Apple Watch this year! How? With WHAT income????
Amusing.

It is funny...it shows that about 88% of those who said they intend to buy an Apple watch did not vote for either Romney or Obama. Sure...I believe that.
AND, the big question of the Apple HATE Brigade:
If you are Gay and Lesbian 7% are planning to buy an Apple Watch
If you are Heterosexual 6.8% are planning to buy an Apple Watch
WHEW! Thank you for getting that out of the way. Now we can relax. Holding bated breaths is a difficult thing to do in every Apple thread.
I am also getting a watch for Sarah Palin. Below is a photo of her just after I told her I was ordering an Apple Watch special for her. She seems surprised and quite happy.
Simply review any post by VanDeKoik posted in an Apple thread in the past several years before Apple's CEO ever said anything about homosexuality or any gay agenda. They are case studies in Apple Hate posts.
All it takes to be an “Apple Hater” is to disbelieve that iPads are going to “take over the enterprise” and be willing to say so.
Turns out this is a legitimate survey, probably done by legitimately statistical methodology. . . but from my playing with the interactive site, I think the author neglected to clear the filters every time he get results which distorted some of his conclusions in his article. . . such as the Far West 3% figure. I cleared the filters and then check Far West and got an entirely different figure of 7.4% of all respondents in the Far West states.
I found you have to be very careful of using the filters because some sub-filters turn on other filters. . . for example choosing "likely Democrat voters" will also turn on the Democrat filter above, but turning OFF "likely Democrat voters" does not turn off the Democrat filter. . . and if you don't notice that, all subsequent tests are going to be filtered by Democrat plus your new filter and therefor inaccurate for the entire universe of respondents as a whole.
I started hitting the "Clear All Filters" button between" any test I wanted just to be sure nothing was turned on I might not notice. Made a difference on some tests.
What about that 42% that said they’d buy it because it was “cool”? That’s the part that you seemed to doubt, but was also supported by the article you posted about the reviews being broken.
Ironic. I posted that comment because the first spittle covered post was from one of your side, before any of the "haters" had shown up.
He apparently was try to preempt them, but ended up looking rather foolish, raging at nothing anyone had posted, pounding at his keyboard.
