Can't figure out why Jeb Bush is so popular in the poll. This makes no sense to me and I was wondering if there are any Jeb Bush supporters here on FreeRepublic?
I’m sure some RINO globalist establishment-types are here, or will join, but this is a CONSERVATIVE site so I expect we will chase them off.
Nope. The original line comes from Jesse Jackson
It is “Stay out the Bushes”
It is one thing I agree with him on. I know little of Whoopie save she is a smarmy little skank who thinks she is a comedian and a smart political analyst and she is neither.
Check out # 24. They give my opinion on the Bushes.
Name recognition. There are still Bushbots hiding in the shadows.
Non-news-junkies (those who don’t spend hours each day reading/watching news) don’t necessarily keep up with the current status of wannabe politicians.

Sen. Graham had about 5 challengers in the primaries. Most citizens knew little about those challengers. Those challengers did not have enough money to make themselves known. When citizens went to vote, they voted for the name they recognized.
Similar is likely to happen in AZ 2016 as it did in 2010 with McCain.

Conservatives have the problem of flooding the primaries with wannabes. Instead of doing like the GOP elites and put forth one, maybe two, names, the conservatives had at least 6 in 2012.
Look at the number of ‘conservatives’ who are already expressing interest for 2016. Even Jeb is taking a page out of George W’s book [remember Compassionate Conservative?] and claiming his own brand of conservatism — Reform Conservative.
The average citizen probably could not say who has already announced in either party or who have exploratory committees.
The one that surprises me is the supposed support for Ben Carson. Carson would be the Republicans’ 2016 Obama, except that Carson has even less political experience.
I do suspect that many of the ‘published’ polling and preference numbers are about as fabricated as the weekly BLS jobs numbers. I don’t take any of them too seriously at this point. Starting in January, the polls may have more value. For now, they are just another way the lamestream media create headlines for slow news days.
I think we must have a group of GOPe that get together in a room every week to vote for Jeb. I travel a lot and direct tour groups, folks that come from all over the country. I haven’t met a Jeb supporter yet. Cruz and Walker seem to be generating all the interest.
Poll results are employed in accordance with the unspoken motives that triggered the exercise in the first place:
Namely, to confer moral authority for their usage as a legitimate tool of cultural intimidation against those whom the results have shown to be one’s adversaries.
Not a chance, even against Hillary!, because “what difference does it make”?
Then you better make sure the RNC does not nominate another designated loser Democrat in an R jersey.
nope, not here
Not this Freeper.
NO!
I’d vote for the Jebster....
On a Jury of HIS Peers and that vote would be to convict!
I support him all the way! Jeb’s the man who will bring us universal immigration for the World’s first government!
/partial sarc (first sentence)
Regardless, that person will not be Jeb Bush.
I am familiar with the "never say never" warning, but Jeb Bush is on my list of candidates I will NEVER vote for and it doesn't matter what they are running for nor who they are running against.
I'm not compromising with myself this election like I have in the past to vote for a lesser evil so as to keep a greater evil from power.
At this point, I'm more worried about my soul than I am about who and what are running the country.
no more....that is it. I will write in or vote 3rd party.
.........................................................
My sentiments exactly.
Are you listening Republican party?
[ Bush / Clinton 2016!
Clinton / Bush 2020!
Uniparty Rules! ]
Bureaucrat / Criminal 2016
Criminal / Bureaucrat 2020
Same old carp!
They’ll stay in the closet until Jebster has been nominated, then they’ll come out of the woodwork to castigate, cajole, gulit, berate and whatever else they can think of to try to get their steaming pile elected.
It’ll work as well as it did for the previous two steaming piles.
And Oliver has run himself over! What a great Twit!
Oliver’s dead... he’s not necessarily out of it.
Pretty sure most of us would hold nose and vote for him only as a vote against Hillary.
