WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) The last man to shoot an American president now spends most of the year in a house overlooking the 13th hole of a golf course in a gated community.
He takes long walks along tree-lined paths, plays guitar and paints, grabs fast food at Wendy's. He drives around town in a silver Toyota Avalon, a car that wouldn't attract a second glance. Often, as if to avoid detection, he puts on a hat or visor before going out.

All you have to do is read the word “psychosis” its incurable. So is Narcistic personality disorder which our dear leader suffers from.
Hinckly should be in that mental facility til the day he finally dies.
narcissistic personality disorder, deceptive, psychotic
Sounds familiar.
Yes, I agree. Back in 1978 I heard some new age nimnods on the left say that now was their time to bring in the age of Aquarius. They were sure that something was going to magically happen to where all their dreams would come true. They were sure it was going to happen. This coincided with that guy Benjamin Creme who advertised the appearance of the Matreya. And then Ronald Reagan got elected and killed the buzz.
Lots of tears here.
Not
Is that true???? If so, that puts quite a different spin on the shooting. I NEVER bought the Jody Foster crap story. MAYBE he was trying to “help” his dad’s cause......hmmmmm.
No, just ala tit for tat, call it a turn of the karma wheel.
I heard that Ms Foster is homosexual.
I pray that he’s put right back into a facility—permanently this time, before he goes after someone else.
You know that. I know that. No reason Mr Hinckley needs to know that...
I agree. Letting this guy out permanently after they have caught him looking at Reagan stuff in the bookstore is just nuts. The Narcisstic Personality Disorder probably drives him to read about himself. I wonder if he has heard Obama is leaving Mooch for Jodie Foster? :-)
Hell, I expect this administration to give him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Careful, we don’t need to elevate Zero to martyr status.
Did Hinckley act alone?
Funny how nobody questions that one.
Nor do we need him to out ‘Jimmuh Carter’ Carter for decades in retirement...
Hmmm. omama is what? 53 now, and Carter’s 90.
That would be about 35 years of him touring the world badmouthing America and openly supporting ummah, with the MSM slobbering over every word it reports in infinitely loving detail.
Best case would be if his case of “The Slims” flares up and takes him.
Mr. Peanut turns 91 this year. Gee whiz, he’s such a treasure. I believe he also has the singular distinction of having outlived his administration longer than any other President, now almost 34 1/2 years. John Adams made it to 25. Hoover broke Adams’ record with 31. Jerry Ford made it to a month short of 30. But Jimmuh broke the record in 2012.
If Zero’s parents are any indication (presuming his daddy, Zero I, is his daddy), he’s now slightly older than his mother was when she died (just short of 53) and Senior was 46, but his was not a natural death (car accident). Senior’s parents made it to 84 (grandfather) and 88 (grandmother), so we could be blessed to have him around for more than 30+ years.
However, going strictly by race, and if you go “halfsies” on race, adding 5 years for his Whiteness from Black male life expectancy, which is roughly 65, he’ll be around another 15-16 years (70) barring any catastrophic health crises. Hopefully he’ll spend the rest of his years either in prison or on some golf course in North Korea far far away from us.
That's because some moron leftist psychiatrists and lawyers probably made the case for him out of political objection to a) Reagan and b) the death penalty. Hinkley deserved the death penalty but didn't get it. And maybe he's not even trying to be crazy any more because he found out Jodie Foster is a lesbian.
Why would a gay man boink a lesbian?
Roll her over and he has a gay guy?
Started with periods of release long ago, and they've been steadily increasing his time in community. According to Wikipedia:
In 1999, Hinckley was permitted to leave the hospital for supervised visits with his parents; he was granted longer unsupervised releases in 2000. These privileges were revoked when he was found to have smuggled materials about Foster into the hospital. Hinckley was allowed supervised visits to his parents again during 2004 and 2005. Court hearings were held in September 2005 on whether he could have expanded privileges to leave the hospital. On December 30, 2005, a federal judge ruled that Hinckley would be allowed visits, supervised by his parents, to their home in Williamsburg, Virginia. The judge ruled that Hinckley could have up to three visits of three nights and then four visits of four nights, each depending on the successful completion of the last. All of the experts who testified at Hinckley's 2005 conditional release hearing, including the government experts, agreed that his depression and psychotic disorder were in full remission and that he should have some expanded conditions of release.
In 2007, Hinckley requested further freedoms, including two one-week visits with his parents, and a month-long visit. U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman denied that request on June 6, 2007.
On June 17, 2009, a federal judge ruled that Hinckley would be given permission to visit his mother for a dozen visits of 10 days at a time, rather than six, to spend more time outside of the hospital, and to have a driver's license. The court also ordered that Hinckley be required to carry a GPS-enabled cell phone to track him whenever he was outside of his parents' home. He was forbidden to speak to the news media. The prosecutors objected to this ruling, saying that Hinckley was still a danger to others and had unhealthful and inappropriate thoughts about women. Hinckley recorded a song, "Ballad of an Outlaw", which the prosecutors claim is "reflecting suicide and lawlessness".
In March 2011, it was reported that a forensic psychologist at the hospital testified that "Hinckley has recovered to the point that he poses no imminent risk of danger to himself or others." On March 29, 2011, the day before the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt, Hinckley's attorney filed a court petition requesting more freedom for his client, including additional unsupervised visits to the Virginia home of Hinckley's mother, Joanne. On November 30, 2011, a hearing in Washington was held to consider whether he could live full-time outside the hospital. The Justice Department opposed this, stating that Hinckley still poses a danger to the public. Justice Department counsel argued that Hinckley had been known to deceive his doctors in the past.
By December 2013, the court ordered that visits be extended to his mother, who lives near Williamsburg. Hinckley was permitted up to eight 17-day visits, with evaluation after the completion of each one.
The mind-boggling thing is that the Holder DOJ objected to his release. It must have slipped through the cracks.
His father died in 2008. So, what will happen when Hinkley's mother dies and there is no one to monitor him in community?
