A gang of violent high school students were caught on camera as they brutally attacked a man. Orrden Williams Jr. says he was outside a BP gas station in Memphis, Tennessee, when a crowd of loud and unruly teenagers suddenly descended upon the establishment. Williams, who was with a baby, asked the teens to be quiet, and soon after was sucker punched and attacked.

” I think Williams stated that he did have a gun, but did not choose to use it. His restraint, if that is true, is pretty remarkable. “
I would really like to confirm this...
I agree, “if that is true, is pretty remarkable. “
He should have used it. More people die from punches and kicks than any weapons used.
It’s attempted murder in my mind.
And the AH who locked the door on the victim was just over the top. Instead of any help, he just locked his customer out. Disgusting.
Confirmed!
“He also says that he considered using his gun to protect his family.”

I really hate to say this, but it too bad he didn’t use it. It seems to me that a couple of lethal put-downs may be what is needed to put a stop to this kind of craziness.
A metaphor for what happens to African Americans who preach self-restraint and self-reliance.
Memphis is a creeeeeepy place. Pulled in on two separate occasions to gas up driving cross country. I wouldn’t recommend it without a firearm.
They are using babies as weapons now?
Black perps.
Black victim, also (along with a white lady) ... The man was armed, but chose not to use it. He was there, I wasn’t, so won’t argue with his decision.
Sicon, I watched the segment and you are correct. He at first did not want to say that he had a firearm, but later said he did. I too was greatly surprised at his restraint. As I recall, he noted that he did not feel seriously threatened, that they were not doing him a great deal of harm, and so he did not draw his weapon because he did not want to escalate the situation.
He said he was having lower back issues as a result of the fracas, but “came out of it pretty well.” He did not appear any worse for wear to me, but who knows what might develop over time. Hopefully nothing!
At any rate, in my opinion, from what I saw last night, he is a great American, a good man and should be commended for his control and restraint. All the more so since when asked if he felt the “youths” should be prosecuted, he said absolutely!
I used to think of Tennessee and that part of the country as down home America, where checkered table cloths covered picnic tables at spring time picnics along some river.
This certainly isn't our parents America....
Clockwork Orange in America?
