In a world where many people wish to forget the atrocities committed, or even deny that they ever happened, let us take time to remember those who perished and those whose lives were scarred forever.
Never Again!
Dachau
Without guns in the streets youll
go down whatever road the government tells you to
go down, even the road to the ovens.
Never forget.
I shall never forget the museums in Berlin and Jerusalem. Profound....
I pray that God shows his power and glory by amazing happenings that cannot be explained except to point to Him!
Imagine if all Muslims had girls for say five years....
*ping*
Riddle
From Belsen a crate of gold teeth,
from Dachau a mountain of shoes,
from Auschwitz a skin lampshade,
Who killed the Jews?
Not I, cries the typist,
Not I, cries the engineer,
Not I cries Adolf Eichmann,
Not I, cries Albert Speer.
My friend Fritz Nova lost his father
a petty official had to choose.
My friend Lou Abrahms was beaten and starved.
Some men signed their papers,
and some stood guard,
and some herded them in,
and some dropped the pellets,
and some spread the ashes,
and some hosed the walls,
and some planted the wheat,
and some poured the steel,
and some cleared the rails,
and some raised the cattle.
Some smelled the smoke,
Some just heard the news.
Were they Germans? Were they Nazis?
Were they human? Who killed the Jews?
The stars will remember the gold,
The sun will remember the shoes,
The moon will remember the skin.
But who killed the Jews?
While it is good to remember those who died please do not mind if I remember someone who survived.
Johannes Jacobus “John” Bos was the only survivor of the Holocaust of his family from Rotterdam. He was imprisoned at Theresienstadt and after seeing Hell I knew him years later as a gentle and wonderful man. I was deeply saddened when I heard he had died and the world is a lesser place without him.
A moment of silence for those who perished ...
During your Prayers for the Departed, remember also the nearly equal number of Christians and other non-Jewish killed during the Holocaust.
And Jews.....six million Jews.
Two images I cant get out of my head are the emaciated bodies at the concentration camps and the crucified girls in Armenia.
Now with China in agreement to build five new nuke plants in Iran and Russia selling long range missiles to Iran, I just cant imagine Israel leaving itself vulnerable again.
Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel.

I meet and was a friend to a woman that was in the death camps. She was not a Jew but still held her sister in her arms as she died. Her family’s crime was hiding Jews from the Germans. She would come and speak at the SOE for a week at a time in Switzerland. She had tea in the afternoon in the formal living room everyday. She would always send someone to find me no matter were I was working in the school. There I would set with sawdust in my hair and work clothing and have tea. I think G_D told her I was a Jew as she spoke to me as if I were a son. I never told anyone at the school about my family being a Jewish.
Thank you for posting this. My best school friend’s mother was a survivor only because she was a nurse. Her original family had been rounded-up and sent to their death’s. Walter’s father, an American soldier, brought her to California after the war and she started anew.
Walter was an only son and his survivor mother helped mine to deliver me in 1952 at our community hospital. She died in the late 1970s after spending many years quietly helping numerous mothers to bring new life into a world that stole hers. She never spoke to me about it and Walter was reticent to discuss what he knew of her painful history.
And that painful history is playing out yet again for Christians in Africa and the Middle East. It is indeed a sick sick world.
I did not see the girls in Armenia pictures. The emaciated bodies were just sickening to see. In Berlin they have slide shows of families. Then they say who lived and who died. In some instances none survived. I also remember in Israel they had tools they developed to check the distance eyes were from the nose as it was a Jewish trait. It made me think of how we have not experienced war like this on our soil.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
And a lot of German Jews fought for Germany in WWI. What kind of madness happened? I’m Christian and I dated a Jewish gal about 20 years ago. Within a year of dating, I went from driving a cab to working on computer software, and was introduced to such classics as Citizen Cane and All About Eve, as well as Indian and Thai food :). Alas we didn’t end up together but she was instrumental in me growing up.
Israel has been deserted by the US president. enemies on several sides, Europe wants to impose sanctions, China plans on building five nuke reactors in Iran, Russia is selling them SAMs. It is heartbreaking. What goes through the mind of a nation of six million when the world seems to align against them. Ironic that Saudi Arabia, Joran and Egypt are the closest thing to allies now. 2017 cant come soon enough.
Thank you for posting that.
