Ask your primary care doctor for the name of a good ortho guy who practices his trade as close as possible to where you live.
My hip pain was terrible...turned out to be spinal degeneration from the normal aging process (with arthritis setting in) with the spinal pain radiating out to the hip.
A two-part series of shots (after xrays, of course) are administered to me. The two shots of cortisone are mixed with some other state-of-the-art newer drugs into what my ortho jokingly calls a "cortisone cocktail".....and are administered a week or so apart.
Does the trick for me. My hip would hurt so much I would be virtually bedridden for a couple days. But no mas!
No need to suffer in this day and age....and don't pay all that attention to "you need a new hip" garbage....that's scary talk, but chances are you have arthritis or stenosis or whatever. If it's more than what I've described, he'll let you know...and either way, you'll rest easier.
Good luck, darlin'....freepmail me if I can be of more help.

Yeah, I have a friend who is the best and if doesn’t subside, I’ll be in his office next week.
