Doc is one of the greatest play-by-play men in the history of sport. First game of the year I hear him announce is always my favorite. He doesn’t have made up words, and he just wears normal suits. So yeah, I think you’re the only one.
I’m not, but I’m glad someone enjoys him.
I worked security at the Meadowlands when the Devils were there. Doc was not only a great announcer but a genuinely nice guy. He was always cheerful and always greeted us with a smile and small talk. He never looked the other way and seemed to appreciate what we did as security people. Yogi Berra came to the games and was the same way.
