The person who set up the Gofundme page is Tom Savage. There is a Tom Savage who is or was a pro football player, but I can't be sure the Tom Savage who set up the Gofundme page is him.

Since I'm more inclined to donate by mail, I would suggest before donating to this Gofundme page, that donors find out if it's legit.
