The new priced competition for the Big Two razor manufacturers will probably result in a lowering of their price to stay competitive.

Actually, they're going a different route.

Proctor & Gamble which owns Gillette also owns The Art of Shaving. Schick is owned by Energizer who also owns Wilkinson Sword and it wouldn't be a surprise if they opened a retail store to compete with Art of Shaving.

So, Gillette and Schick have no intention of lowering their prices, they're just playing both sides of the market.

Which is why I bought a razor made in England and the blade I will use was made overseas. Probably by one of those companies, but they can’t sell $20 cartridges in most parts of the world.
