Yeah, I have to ignore all that crap to get anything done. There are some settings that can make it better, though none that make it disappear.

That's a great move. Wacom makes very nice stuff. I had one of their tablet input devices a few years ago, gave it to my girlfriend at the time, never saw it again, but it was nice while it lasted...

I use Windows mostly out of necessity, not affection. There's a reason why my main machine at work is CentOS Linux (with a Win7 VM for Windows tasks), and my main machine at home is a Mac (with a Win7 VM, and a separate Win7 BootCamp (dual-boot) partition for when I need to devote the whole machine to Windows (not often, but...). Those operating systems are more productive for me most of the time, and I don't have to fight with them. But there are some things that Windows does better than the others, and I appreciate it for those things enough to make up for the frustration.

I’ve had the 15”, 17” and 18” Cintiqs.
They were too big and heavy to set on my lap.
Sold ‘em.
I have a bunch of Inutuos of varying sizes from the little one to 9” x 12” and get by with them but once in a while, I really need to work on the screen so the 12 was a better choice.
Then, for kicks, I got an old Fujitsu with Wacom technology to play with.
The max ram is a bottleneck but it’s still kinda cool.

Then I ended up with Prodigy.
