Very pleased to have you aboard! Win10 seems to have mellowed the kiddie block look somewhat, enough so that I don't find the result very annoying at all. Granted it's still not as slick and clean as I like, but then I tend to brain-damage my Windows user interfaces back into Win2000 look-alike mode...
They seem to be gearing it towards social media/movies/music.
It was too much “toy” for me.
I have stuff to do.
I hated having to slog through a whole bunch of second-guessing “suggestions” as to what I might be wanting.
I had an HP Envy 2-in-1 for about 3 days before I started screaming.
I wanted the graphic tablet features.
Took it back.
Bought a Cintiq 12WX.
I can plug it into anything running a really a sincere OS.
I *really* resent the move towards an OS that reminds me of Facebook crossed with an iPad.
And yes, I found out how to get to the real desktop but one wrong move...one slip of a pinky and *whoomp!*, there I was, back on Sesame Street again.
