Well, I’ll just drop by once in a while, on my own, so no on the ping list, for right now. And I’ll never be a troll here, disrupting and harassing!
I haven’t run Windows on my Mac, but I know it can be done, easily, and done while running the Mac OS as the main system. Of course, the Windows can be run on its own, too.
I do have to try and help a couple of relatives with their Windows machines and I feel awkward trying to help them ... although I can usually handle it ...
Okay, ST, that's fine. I look forward to your occasional comments. FWIW, I have two copies of Win7 on my Mac Mini -- one is a VM in VMware Fusion, for running alongside the Mac applications, and the other as BootCamp for when I need to dedicate all the Mini's horsepower to a Windows task.
Some years ago Apple ran an ad campaign about how the best hardware to run Windows on for the money was actually a Mac (a MacBook Pro, I think). It's true.
I find Windows to be wonderfully stable and fast on Mac hardware. Who knew?
At home I'm also running it on my Fujitsu notebook and a few vanilla desktops, and it does well there too.
At work it's mostly rackmount servers, enterprise quality, so of course they're fine...
