When is Windows 10 coming out?
I like windows 10 and will be on us SOON
Not soon enough! I'm really looking forward to it. I've been playing with the Technical Preview for a few months and it looks great.
My current operating system proclaims itself to be “Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Evaluation copy, Build 10041”.
As explained in Windows 8 pro review (upgrade XP to Windows 8 with Classic Shell) ">this FR thread. : In from what i see using the Window 10 preview, as explained in this thread , shows little change from Windows 7. Though that was an early build of WTP.
The latest build (11041) can be had here .
If already running WTP and want to upgrade, see here . If you are having trrouble doing so, read thru here .
The minimum system requirements (see more at link) for Win10 are
Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Free hard disk space: 16 GB
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
A Microsoft account and Internet access
Best to install it on a second hard drive (HD), with your defat OS drive unplugged until after you install WTP. Then use the F11 or whatever key your BIOS has to choose what HD to boot from. Win/10 is expected to be provided free to W/8.1 and W/7 users this summer, for a year.
The main advantage being the service life will go on for a longer time (even if the country does not, or a EULA forbids criticism of sodomy, etc.)
Below is the difference btwn the defaul WTP start menu and classic shell. Which would you prefer? (You can nuke items in either one.)
