> I would say the same about cigarettes too. If it is bad for your health, it should be illegal.

That type mindset opens the door to the feds calling and litigating what is legal or not based on feelings. Dangerous territory. What if they decided chocolate was bad for health and should be rationed or made illegal? That would only result in its price shooting up, the wealthy being able to only afford it (eventually), and you being charged higher taxes somewhere along the line. If you trust the feds to make all of your decsions we know the end result is they will do whatever they want o soak your pockets and extract the max amount of money.

Be careful what you wish for.

Christie said pot is a gateway drug

The same phony-baloney calculations that support this claim also show that alcohol and tobacco are gateway drugs.

He says that drug addiction is a disease and that abusers need treatment, not jail time.

But the nonaddicted majority of users do need jail time?

About time you showed up to troll.

So, you have nothing of substance to say about the topic, as usual.

Well we certainly know Krispy would never go for that.

If a bar tender keeps serving a guy and then let’s him drive and he kills someone with is car. I guess that is blood money too - taken by the bartender. And if the town or state does not punish the bartender and simply looks the other way while collecting tax dollars, than that portion of the tax dollars can be considered blood money too. My opinion.

Fascinating, but what does that have to do with my post?

It may be blood money but the politicians will take it all the same. People die from the alcohol industry as well. But a heck of a lot of money goes “for the children” with the taxes on alcohol.

Drunk driving is right up there when it comes to stupid things. If you don’t kill anyone or cause any damage you are lucky but still stupid. Why else would you be arrested for drunk driving? It is just plain stupid.

Because all too often you do kill someone.

That’s a better reason to stop people from driving drunk. :)

He accused Tom Tancredo of being for legalizing all drugs including heron for one. I don't remember them all but nothing was true. I thought it was by a wacko liberal group at first.

It’s too bad there is so much infighting in the party. And often times the arguments you see are not the reasons for the fights. I had hopes for Christi when he stood up to the teacher’s union years back. But yes he seems as slimy as most politicians lately.

Christie’s problems began when they legalized food.

Christie seems quite liberal. He may have just wanted to keep a conservative Tom Tancredo out of the Governor office but he got the demoRat Chickenpooper elected for sure.

The real issue in Colorado is that the Colorado voters nullified a federal law prohibiting the use of marijuana.

Why can’t the voters of Alabama pass a law now nullifying a federal instruction to perform same-sex marriage?

Rand would disagree

So would Ted Cruz, since he and Paul have the same position on pot =>

“I actually think this is a great embodiment of what Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis called ‘the laboratories of democracy,’” Cruz said. “If the citizens of Colorado decide they want to go down that road, that’s their prerogative. I personally don’t agree with it, but that’s their right.”

I have to agree. Sadly, the government must protect drug users from themselves.

Are you angling for Chief Nanny in a Michelle Obama Administration?
