Asia Ford began having trouble breathing about five miles into Saturdays Rodes City Run. Lt. Aubrey Gregory got out of his police cruiser to check on her.

think of it this way....take a non athletic person of normal weight....and have them run marathon with no experience carrying 2 / 50 sacks of corn...the potential for joint failure alone should make anyone think twice....slow and steady wins the obesity race.....been there myself

that is utter BS. A 10k is 6.2 miles.
It takes a world of guts to cross the start line. It is her business and her decision to be a rugged individual.
Obama is not going to run the course for her. (too busy with his golf and hanging curtains)
She made a decision not to give up. She was going to finish even though the crew was ready to take down the finish line.
I wonder what the percentage is for people who actual do a 10k? it must be something like .00001% of the population.
To enter you have to sign a waiver by the way. They stand up in court.
...and the policeman, in full uniform, finished with her. Kudos to the officers.
My point is she is placing her health at risk by doing so.....and instead of a grandstanding look at me event, she ought to spensd a few months taking baby steps as the sheer weight stress on her joints is enough to damage them....not to mention the potential LVH issues and other cardiac problems....trust me i have experienced all of them
