Force Awakens Score in Los Angeles
John Williams is currently hard at work composing the score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be recorded in Los Angeles. For the recording of the score, Williams will work with members of the superb freelance orchestra with which hes recorded numerous film scores over the years. The music will be recorded over several months while working in tandem with the films editorial and special effects teams on the West Coast.
While previous films in the saga were scored at Abbey Road with the celebrated London Symphony Orchestra, this will be the first time a Star Wars score has been recorded in the United States.

Yes, the music in Star Wars has been great.

I can easily predict that this new Star Wars is going to tilt too far towards political correctness and multiculturalism. It is going to have a gay character.
I’ll be doing a lot more laughing at it than feeling any urge to see it
One of the best parts of John Williams composing the Star Wars music was how he integrated it perfectly with the Fox Fanfare in the beginning of the six Star Wars movies that have been released. Too bad it won’t happen with this one since Disney owns the franchise now.
What happens in The Schwartz awakens? Will Yogurt, Bark, Lone Star, Princess Vespa, and Dot Matrix be featured in, “Space Balls 2: The Search For More Money”?
Please, this is about the music.

Yes that is the best march, or at least the best march not written by Sousa.

You probably can’t have only one gay character in a movie, so at least two.
Part of the reason Billie Dee Williams was brought on as Lando Calrissian was because there wasn't a pointedly African-American actor in the film. Never mind that James Earl Jones forever defined Darth Vader with his voice alone: the face was under the mask wasn't his and there was some pressure to include an actor folks could see.

But Disney, which now owns Lucasfilms, feels differently. The people at Disney have created the first “official” gay character
... the upcoming novel Lords of the Sith will feature a capable but flawed Imperial official named Moff Mors who also happens to be a lesbian.

Gimme the original Star Trek series, with female crew members dressed in miniskirts, go-go boots, & with their tushes hanging out. IOW, the good ol’ days.
Man, is this movie going to stink or what?
