According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Eagles coach Chip Kelly has just turned his own personal dont-give-a-damn meter to 11, bringing quarterback Tim Tebow in for a workout.
Hes just messing with us at this point.
The idea of Tebow and Mark Sanchez together again is almost too perfect to put into words. Kelly carries himself with a smartest-guy-in-the-room vibe anyway, but bringing in a guy the rest of the NFL had given up on speaks to a bit of hubris.
Could Tebow run the Eagles system, considering his roots running a spread offense at Florida? Sure. Maybe. Who knows?

Tebow spent two years working with Bradys throwing coach to work on his weak throwing. Why didn't he work on it over the 15 or so years prior?

Tebow would fit into the Chip Kelly system. He would be cheaper than Mariota, and would not much pressure as long as he could hand it off to DeMarco Murray.

All he was ever able to do well was win games, be a natural team leader, and electrify Denver./ And wash out at three teams. Soon to be four.

That Denver team won because of defense. No one is knocking Tebow’s ability to lead, or the fact that he is a winner, he isn’t a very good NFL QB. He couldn’t beat Mark Sanchez out for the #2 spot on a craptastic Jets team.

...
Funny how that defense played so much better when Tebow became the starter.

He has the desire & drive to succeed in the NFL, particularly as part of a hurry-up, read/option offense. Tebow didn't show that he could run hurry-up, read/option plays. When he was in Denver he lead the league in delay of game penalties.

“I love Tebow. He was a great college QB, but he will never be an NFL Franchise QB. His mechanics are terrible, and his ability to read defenses sucks. I think he can be a good FB or TE, but he will never be a starting QB.”
Needed to carry a clipboard and not run a team so early.

I think he can be a good FB or TE, but he will never be a starting QB.But at either of those positions, as well as blocking back in punt formation, he adds a threat that a defense must consider.

Run the same metric with RGIII and Colin Kapeirnick and I bet you get much of the same in their rookie years. NFL defenses are notorious for lagging behind when it comes to unconventional QB’s and offenses. Johnny Football got his azz kicked because defenses know how to counter the spread option now.

I was rooting for Tim when they gave him a preseason tryout. He was terrible,
And that was when?

2 years ago, I think. He played in 3 preseason games, which were televised, which is what formed my opinion.

Might set an example to the get unwashed but heavily armed low-information drugged up masses.I may be unwashed, I am definitely heavily armed but I skipped the drugs. As for low information, I'm here with you. You're right that we could always use a Tim Tebow in town.
