I worked at a McD’s in the 70’s and yes, you could get burned if you were careless or stupid.
Bingo.
I worked for McD’s while in college and you have to be pretty stupid and/or careless to get injured “on the job”.
Most of these whiners were injured in a botched abortion before they were born.
They need to take their complaint up with their mommies for not giving them the gift of aspirations.
2 x Losers and perpetual adolescents...
My first “paycheck job” was at McDonald’s #330, from 1971 to 1973. Everyone got burned, cut, or bruised from time to time, and generally learned from it. I don’t recall the thought of PPE ever crossing my mind.
Imagine being stupid on the farm or driving an 18 wheeler or working in a corn milling plant or a power plant or....
McDonalds little grease burns is where teens learn not to be stupid on the job so that someday maybe they can work in a really dangerous environment.
My son likes his new McDonalds job, by the way.
There is a reason McD had to move to the cash register with pictures.
McD needs to move to robots ASAP.
I spent 3 years working for McD’s in my youth, and like in any restaurant you can get burned... I also have no doubt that you will find incidents in individual restaurants where safety equipment did not exist, or people were not properly trained to do jobs.....
However the idea they are systemic issues of the McD’s corporation is not likely.
I am sure McD’s policies and procedures cover all the situations where individual violations were found, and local franchisee and management will be found to be at fault.
Won’t stop the SEIU though... Leftists don’t live in reality.
So did I, same time period, pretty much. Keep your paws off the grill and out of the fry vats. Don't drink the grill cleaner. Good to go.
