DALLAS (AP) The deaths of three people who developed a foodborne illness linked to some Blue Bell ice cream products has prompted the Texas icons first product recall in its 108-year history.
Five people, in all, developed listeriosis in Kansas after eating products from one production line at the Blue Bell creamery in Brenham, Texas, according to a statement Friday from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

That may very well be so but there is an irrational hatred by liberals for anything or anybody with ties to Texas. Once incident, granted anecdotal, comes to mind.
Several year ago, at a not-so-aptly named "Friendly's" restaurant near Watertown, MA, I committed the crime of driving while Texan. As I pulled into the parking lot with my Texas plates, a family of four (dad, mother and two kids) was coming out, saw my car and spotted the license plates since they're on the front and rear. Utterly without the slightest provocation, both the husband and wife confronted me about being from Texas. "So, you're from the Kennedy killing state!" and "I bet you cowboys down there had a party when Teddy died". I was told in a profanity-laced tirade that we "right-wing, redneck Texans" weren't welcome in their fine Commonwealth.
Sure, it was one isolated incident in this case. But there were numerous times I was greeted with a middle-finger salute by proud Massachusetts citizens on the traffic circles on Route 6, doubtlessly because of my Texas plates and Sarah Palin window sticker. And so went the "Spirit of Massachusetts" as I experienced it.

Well.... I did and haven’t lived in Texas for 25 years...!
yes, my apologies, i was thinking of blue bunny. its a cheap brand on the east coast, i dont know if its in the rest of the country.
it kind of sucks when you post a rant and you don’t even have the facts, but i’ve been wrong before.
That’s okay. Yes, they do have Blue Bunny in Texas. Had a friend who bought some when she was at a quick stop for gas. Had a huge craving for ice cream and they didn’t have Blue Bell. Invited me over for dessert. Blue Bunny is GROSS and should not be sold in Texas or even given away. Ate about half a spoonful and we threw out the rest.
Good, more for us, while you figger out how to rite.
No commercial ice cream maker is as good as my real home made ice cream. Very expensive to make but is worth every penny.
An aside: Check out the eggs in your local super market, the ones that are labeled "large".
If I buy it, I’ll eat it, I have very little will power. Strawberry shake sounds so good. At the stroke of midnight on Easter Sunday, I think I’ll make a strawberry float with Blue Bell home made vanilla ice cream and strawberry cream soda. But for now, I’ll just have some Graham crackers with peanut butter.
One side effect of eating ice cream that democrats don’t have to worry about:
BRAIN FREEZE!
The best ice cream I ever had (besides Blub Bell vanilla) was Ashby’s Ice cream in the play doh flavor. It was awesome. So good in fact I had a 5 gallon tub shipped from Wisconsin to Texas since the closest place to get it was in Pagosa Springs, Colorado or Missouri at the time.
Wow, today they are pulling all Blue Bell ice cream off the shelf due to contamination specifically choc chip cookie dough ice cream.
Unfortunately, stores are removing all Blue Bell products in my area (Dallas, Texas). They’re not taking any chances and yes, this does seem suspicious since all of a sudden, Obama and the demons are touting the pleasures of ice cream.
Good luck. My local Walmart had removed all Blue Bell products from their shelves last time I shopped there. Talked to a vendor rep that said it might be a month before the product is back in stock.
Yeah, this stinks like most everything Barry gets his paws around. Coincidentally, this Memorial Day Weekend Barry is seen slurping an ice cream cone. (there are no coincidences....this was another Barry ‘eff yew’ to Texas and to Texans).
