So how does one load the photos onto the computer from their digital camera? A camera that has NO wifi capability.

Or am I out of luck? can any FReeper answer this for me?

you don’t. You need to get a real computer to do work with. This one is just a glorified tablet. And interesting toy but pretty useless for anything real.

Unfortunately Apple has always been that way, “Work our way or don’t work at all” And more unfortunately Microsoft has gone down the same ugly road. I guess it’s time to learn Linux and get control of my machines again.

One other thing that these “one port” idiots are missing is that some of us don’t want our business broadcast out for anyone to hijack. (If your data is in the cloud, it’s not your data anymore)

There will be a an SD card to USB-C adapter on the market within weeks, just as there was an SD card to Lightning adapter.
