I saw this headline at Newsalert from a CNS News article and went over to read it:
(CNSNews.com) – Seventy percent of American males between the ages of 20 and 34 are not married, and many live in a state of “perpetual adolescence” with ominous consequences for the nation’s future, says Janice Shaw Crouse, author of “Marriage Matters.”
“Far too many young men have failed to make a normal progression into adult roles of responsibility and self-sufficiency, roles generally associated with marriage and fatherhood,” Crouse, the former executive director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, wrote in a recent Washington Times oped.
The high percentage of bachelors means bleak prospects for millions of young women who dream about a wedding day that may never come. “It’s very, very depressing,” Crouse told CNSNews.com.
It seems that Crouse and her crowd are watching too many Say Yes to the Dress episodes. So what matters is that women’s dreams are shattered? What about the bleak prospects for millions of men across the country who get very little legal or psychological protection from marriage? Now that’s what’s very, very depressing. Change that and maybe more men will be interested.

A woman only has a bad attitude cause the men are boys. I blame the parents and video games the parents purchased to babysit them.

The middle class is gone. In past generations, your son would have been happy to move out with that job into a house or neighborhood he could afford. Now they are all slums. True, traditional middle-class neighborhoods are few and far between these day. My parents gave me the boot with no option to live at home so I did live in the slums for about 4-5 years. Definitely motivated me to do better, but I can understand someone not making the choice to do the same.
Funny, it seems that the kids my kids know are embracing marriage...and at a young age. One of my daughters, a junior in college, told me she knows over 90 engaged couples.
I asked a friend of mine recently, why young people today are doing everything backwards.
First, they have the kid, then, they buy the house, and maybe, then they think about getting married.
Hubby and I had a long distance romance going for about 6 months. Finally, the travelling back and forth started getting old, so I told him that we should either get married, or, stop seeing each other, because I just wasn't the type of person to go for a long period of time in that sort of long distance relationship.
We got married, and next January will be our 35th anniversary. Because we got married so quickly (I remember the looks when I said we were gettig married only 6 months after knowing one another); I decided to wait a bit before having a child -- just to be sure we were going to stick. And, we did -- we have two lovely daughters and everything has turned out okay.
I think that taking marriage seriously maybe part of the problem. It seems like a lot of people get married with the thought that if it doesn't work, I'll just get divorced. Bad way of looking at a very personal relationship.
So all your friends are unhappily married?
Do you think its everybody your age or maybe just the friends you have? Are they all getting divorced? I’m just curious if they like to grouse about it or if they are really miserable.
Women wanted what they’ve got so they just need to shut up already. Men want nothing to do with the liberal bastion of bullsh*t women have created so they choose not to participate with it. Women still get horny so men still get laid, so what else do men need from these liberal little girls?

Some woman here locally was apprehended after a high speed chase. When caught, she tried to get the cops to lay off by saying she was pregnant - she wasn’t. It’s all fair game now. Lying is such a minor offense.
Which puts Hillary’s press conference in sharp relief. She’s going to skate, and she knows it. She knows that nobody believes anything she said to the press a couple of days ago, and she also knows it won’t matter anyway. Not a thing anybody is going to do about it, because lying isn’t something the prosecute.
That is, unless you set yourself up in popular culture as a paragon of virtue. Bill Bennett went down over legal gambling. Bill Cosby? Going down for the same things that make Bill Clinton an underground God. Everybody knows where Bill is coming from, right down to the underage sex slaves on the private island, which have disappeared from the news cycle.

When women don’t have realistic expectations of men and treat men badly why would men respond any other way?
Start with your little girls that are as liberal as ever. Liberalism ruins women.
No LOL, they are not ALL unhappy. Mostly playful bitching by married men. But I;ve been told time and time again because I work in Hollywood, especially casting that they wished they could sleep with those I work with. Just wishful thinking. It’s akin to saying “ I wish I was Tom Brady married to that VM supermodel..”
White men in particular are treated like childish buffoons in media and elsewhere and we wonder why they havent grown up? You reap what you sew.

It doesn’t change the fact that single parents who “want” babies are selfishly depriving the children of a mother and a father.
I was at one years ago and it was a miserable but eye opening experience. Once is enough.

I’ve been self-sufficient since I was 17 and worked my ass off for everything I have to reach the 1%. I’m also physically fit so I have no issues dating women.
I’m not afraid of being close to someone or agreeing on monogamy but legal marriage is insane for a man that has anything to take. That level of power over someone is dangerous and I’ve seen too many friends’ decent wives become corrupt.
Women tease you about “perpetual adolescence” because they all want you to sign them up for a permanent retirement plan for when they are too old to date desirable men.
The feminists did it to themselves and they can F*** off. I do whatever I want and date whoever I want. Including women that are close to half my age and I love flaunting it in front of those bitter old biddies.
