The first NFL veteran combine came and went with no Tim Tebow. But the left-handed college football analyst could show up at the next one after extensive training with Tom Brady's quarterback coach.
Per Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, Tebow's been working with Tom House in Los Angeles for the past two years. House told Volin Tebow's improved greatly.
"He went from being a little inaccurate and didn't throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball," House said.

Huh, he is 6’3” 235 lbs. Taller and heavier than most at the combine. People are suggesting that he try out for tight end or fullback because of his speed and strength. If he really was practicing throwing under a great quarterback coach for two years and made tremendous strides as stated (we have no reason to doubt now), then he would be better than 70% of the quarterbacks in the league. He did not start from nothing. Two or three quarterbacks that followed him sucked just as bad or worse on his last team.
What a story it would be if he was successful.
They just signed jimmy Claussen. Why couldn’t Tebow play other than being blacklisted by Rex Ryan.
Tebow doesn’t have what it takes for the NFL. They are looking for guys like Johnny Manziel - he knows how to party like a pro.
I wish him great success in his new attempt, but there was just something funky about his throwing motion that wasn’t right. I always wondered how a dude as big and strong as he is did not get more zip on the ball. Maybe they have overhauled his motion.
We are talking NFL here, not NBA. Besides, he's the wrong color for the NBA.
I am admittedly not a big NFL fan. Can someone explain this to me? A guy is very successful,at the level just below the NFL. In his second year at a NFL,team he takes over at the leading offensive position and his team does a 180 and makes it to the playoffs. He is then traded and in the next season is never given a meaningful opportunity to play and he is then never given another chance by any other NFL team. Can someone here explain this to me?
Tebow is an interesting character with a huge heart, but it takes more than that to be an NFL quarterback. He probably has a good football mind, but he always struggled with accuracy. He may yet have a good career in football, but it will be in the broadcast booth or in coaching.

I watch football. I'm by no means an expert - but I can't understand it either. I'm a Bills fan, so for the last 15 years, I've watched countless high draft picks, back-ups and cast-offs given up to 2 years to prove themselves at QB, and fail miserably. While Tebow, In his short time in the NFL, has already taken his team to the playoffs, and even if his style may be unorthodox (I don't know, that's what some say). Winning is winning.
I think its a very strong group-think in the NFL. Much like corporate America. If you fail but you used all the highly recommended and highly credentialed people, then its not your fault, its theirs. If you go outside the box - then you risk people calling you stupid, which is the kiss of death in group-think organizations.
