Word For The Day, Monday, 3/9/15
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
insouciant; adj.
adjective 1. free from concern, worry, or anxiety; carefree; nonchalant.
Etymology: 1829, from French insouciant "careless, thoughtless, heedless," from in- "not" (see in- (1)) + souciant "caring," present participle of soucier "to care," from Latin sollicitare "to agitate" (see solicit ). Related: Insouciantly.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Here is my example with WFTD.
Hillary is rather insouciant about running for Prez, as SNL so aptly pointed out.

The high school librarian was utterly fed up with such childish books as “The Cat in the Hat” and “Horton Hears a Who” cluttering up the shelves so she insouciantly tossed them in favor of “D’Andre’s Booty Bling Yo”.
