But why couldn’t you arrange those benefits without most of the country having to change their clocks? Sure having more daylight after work can be handy, but that’s what adjusting your schedule is for, no reason everybody else has to change it.
If this was just for me, I wouldn’t bother saying a thing about it. But I know there are plenty of people and families who enjoy those benefits of more daylight hours after work.
BUT ... let’s look at it from the other side ... those who don’t care about more daylight time after work. What’s the “problem” from their side, if that extra time makes no difference to them?
There will be two times a year that their clock is adjusted by one hour. Other than that, all their own activities are at the exact same clock-time that they always were. They go to work at the same time, they come home from work at the same time, all the businesses they frequent keep the same operating hours, anything that they do on their own time will have the same time and schedule as before. In other words, I can’t see that it changes anything they do - by the clock - that they did before. I can’t see why they would be bothered in the least ... :-) ...
