19 torpedoes, 17 bombs +/- wow. Difference in attack though. Musashi was hit on both sides by torpedoes slowing the eventual capsize and sinking. Yamato flooded almost exclusively port side and the crew could not adequately counter flood.

Good naval history. Never knew it.

There’s a very good book on the battle that finally turned back the Japanese Center Force, “The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors”. A tiny force of jeep carriers and destroyers beat back Kurita’s fleet. Well worth reading.
