Sorry Warren, that’s not the pattern. By the end of two terms the people are generally pretty sick of the president and everything associated with him, including his party. Unless the GOP goes way out of their way to spike 2016 whoever they nominate will win. Meanwhile Hillary probably won’t even get the nod IF she runs, which she probably won’t. She’s had 2 books in a row totally tank, nobody likes her anymore, if they won’t buy her book they won’t fund her campaign and they won’t vote for her.

That’s exactly why Jeb is going to be nominated, he’s the only one who could lose.

“Unless the GOP goes way out of their way to spike 2016 whoever they nominate will win.”

Hence the candidacy of yet another Bush ... :-) .

I sincerely believe that any Republican candidate will win the Presidency so long as that candidate is not Bush, Huckster, or NJ’s pride and joy, not to mention big Springsteen fan, Christie. If any of those three are the candidate, then Clinton (assuming she’s really running) has a slight edge at best (she’s *that* bad ... no amount of money is going to help her).

They really want a big spender to win ... if someone like Cruz or Walker becomes President, then there’s a very good chance spending cuts will be the front and center national discussion ... nobody wants to lose a dime in Washington ... it’ll get ugly. They won’t have the sugar to coat their various districts back home (that’s another thing that has been making me angry ... why only 435 congressional districts?!?!!?)

Having said all of that, if Bush is the nominee and, God help us, he wins, the only joy I’ll get out of that is watching Liberal heads explode ... shortly after that, I’m heading to the hills and living off the grid.
