McDonalds may have invented it, or at least they brought it to nationwide popularity, but it's a poor substitute for what can be made quite easily at home.
My spin on the "Egg McMuffin" is this:
Way better than what you get at McDonalds.
On days when I’m feeling decadent, I’ll make some eggs benedict - toasted English muffin with a poached egg and round of Canadian bacon, slathered with hollandaise sauce and topped with some diced green olives and Roma tomatoes. In Korea, I also learned that kimchi makes a great side for any egg dish.
Fry up some homemade KFC chicken and dip into a bowl of homemade McDonald’s honey mustard sauce (spoon of Chinese hot mustard, spoon of mayo and a big squirt of honey). Brings a smile to your face.
