With the government putting its fingers into everything, I am reminded of something I read once, about the Fall of the Roman Empire.

The fall of the Roman Empire was not a disaster for EVERYONE. Perhaps for urban dwelling ne’er-do-wells dependent on “bread and circuses” but a lot of more rural people who produced food and were heavily taxed did better when the boot was removed from their neck.

Perhaps we shouldn’t fear implosion...
