And Chicago doesn't matter.

Heh. That family photo actually makes Chewie look like a decent guy. Too bad he’s a communist.
” Too bad hes a communist.”
Obama gives extra credit for communist applicants.
His actual first name is Jesus.
So were gonna have a Jewish guy vs. Jesus for mayor.
Obama’s endorsing his opponent, incumbent mayor Rahm Emanuel.
Pick your poison.
Rahm Emanuel.......the undisputed champion of Judas goats. Figures.
>> You talking about Karen Lewis. She has been keeping a very low key profile. I believe she has been going through chemo therapy for a brain tumor. <<
Teacha the Hutt (Karen Lewis) is endorsing Garcia. (see http://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/ward-room/Karen-Lewis-Endorses-Jesus-Chuy-Garcia-for-Mayor-281122912.html Obama is endorsing Rahm. Again, pick your poison.
As distasteful as it is, this is not even a decision for me. Hepatitis > HIV
Chuy is the candidate of the teacher’s union, hand picked by Karen Lewis after she dropped out due to a brain tumor, or a piece of brain growing on the tumor that’s always been taking up most of the space inside her head, (Rahm closed schools so they hate him) and the other progressives that think Rahm is too conservative and doesn’t oppress White people enough. An even worse Mayor than Rahm, our own Bill DeBlasio, is not a solution to anything.
what about secession? Can you at least get into suburban Cook County? And who was Cook?
In other news,
45th Ward Alderman John Arena (D/union whore) faces a runoff with Policeman John Garrido (R) whom he “beat” by a small handful of votes 4 years ago.
And 41st Ward Alderman Mary O’Connor (D), who narrowly picked up what had been the only GOP seat on the council 4 years ago, faces a runoff with Firefighter Anthony Napolitano. I’m not positive if he’s to her right or left.
and I reach the end of the internet again. Which is why I always come home to Free Freepie.
in other news, GOP conservative populist Torres loses by 56 votes for the vacant state rep seat.
Stafstrom, according to the Registrars of Voters, received 776 votes to Torres’ 720, Keeley’s 154, Halstead’s 48 and Diaz’s 45 votes.
Send my disgust to the taxpayers and churchgoers who refused to show up. About 12% of the adult population voted. Actually not bad. About 25% voted in NOV ‘14, so it was a good showing, just too many boycotters, statewide conservatives groups who took a pass.
Most of suburban Cook is as bad as the city now. The remaining good parts should break free, but would never be allowed to.
Cook is named for Daniel Pope Cook
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Pope_Cook
An early history IL politician
We call it “Crook County”, which is ironic since there really are counties with that name in Oregon and Wyoming, named for General George Crook.
Do you know there is only 1 county in the whole country named for our first Supreme Court Chief Justice? Jay County Indiana.

He was talkin’ ‘bout Connecticut.
That sucks.

According to that article, Torres had previously ousted Stafinfection had from a city council seat, so this a revenge win for the democrat.
Politics1.com reports that a Senate special election was won by the Working Families candidate, Former rat Senator Ed Gomes, who lost the seat in the 2012 primary, won without the rat ballot line, allegedly this is the first “3rd party” win in a CT leg race since 1938

Go for it.
Or you could just write in someone...that’s so effective.
Impy, will you vote for Rahm or not vote?
If William Kelly ran, what percentage do you think he would have received? I think he would have received 15%-20%.
That’s that telling Stalin to whip Trotsky’s ass.
Hi, nice to meet another freeper than actually lives in the city limits.
This is a top 2 runoff so write in won’t be an option (I think, San Diego ridiculously used to allow write ins during runoffs). Last year a Republican ran for State Senator in my district for a the first time since I’ve been voting, as a write in, but I didn’t know till after the election (or forgot if someone told me) so I left it blank, he got 6 votes.
I did vote write in once, for “Dick Nixon” as City Clerk or something, you need to be registered write in candidate, so the vote was invalid, as is the one below:
There was at least 1 registered write in for City Treasurer (not Ditka), which is why it was an option, I don’t know who it was though, I left it blank.
Anyway, in the first round I voted for Willie Wilson, a funny-talking Black businessman who endorsed our RINO Governor and asked for Republican votes, he came in a distant third. I voted against my jerk Alderman too but he avoided a runoff.
Yes Phil, I will vote for Rahm over Chuy if I can psychically bring myself to perform the grim duty.
I think a freeper voting for Rahm, even though it’s against an even worse fellow rat, might somehow open up a portal to hell. I hope it does, maybe it will melt the f***ing snow.
I think Bill Kelly (R) would have gotten less than you estimate, I’d say 5%-10%. I don’t like that he teased running and then didn’t. I wish we still had partisan elections for city offices, no Republican has run for Mayor since it was changed to nonpartisan.
