CHICAGO (CBS) Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will take on Cook County Commissioner Jesus Chuy Garcia in a runoff election on April 7.
With 92 percent of precincts reporting, Emanuel had 45 percent, shy of the 50 percent plus one vote needed to avoid a runoff. Garcia had 34 percent of the vote, separating him from the rest of Emanuels challengers and putting him in position for the runoff.
Trailing Garcia is businessman Willie Wilson in third with 10 percent, Alderman Robert Fioretti in fourth with 7 percent and William Dock Walls was in last with 3 percent.

The Free Sh*t Army votes!
If you thought Mississippi had some serious vote manipulation, just hang on!
I take it one is liberal and the other loony liberal?
Yep. There are over 2.1 Million illegals in the city of Chicago. Wonderful dreamers.
Whip his communist ass , chewy
The irony practically drips.....
And they will come out in force to vote for chewy the Hispanic... Could not happen to a better bunch. Talk about reaping what you sow....
It would be fun to have a mayor named “Chuy”.
Not if you lived in Chicago, which I no longer do.
The first and ONLY black mayor was HORRIBLE; Chuy will be far worse than the pink women’s underwear wearing Harold Washington, should he be elected.
Whatever happened to that fat, female jabba-the-hutt union slob Karen whats-her name? I was hoping that she would kick Rahm’s skinny a$$
Here in CA, I have friends who voted for the Governator simply so they could have a Governor they could call The Governator. Thus the state we’re in now.
You talking about Karen Lewis. She has been keeping a very low key profile. I believe she has been going through chemo therapy for a brain tumor.
Even better, his real first name is Jesus.
I live in Chicago, as bad as Rahm Emanuel is, Garcia would be WAY worse. Garcia is a flaming liberal. Rahm may be to far to the right for Chicago standards (no I am not kidding).
I’ll go with a pro-abortion Jew before a pro-abortion Catholic any day. If only because the local Catholic bishop won’t be tripping over himself to give him Communion.
Ed Koch is the only Democrat I ever voted for. There was no pro-life candidate in that election.
Koch was in the front row at St. Patrick’s the Sunday after Cardinal O’Connor and the Eucharist were attacked by ActUp.
I really had a soft spot for him because of an interview he had on local TV:
Reporter: You called Bella Abzug a “loser,” didn’t you?
Koch: Why not? She is a loser. I beat her.
Reporter: You don’t turn the other cheek, do you?
Koch: I’m not a Christian.
In Chicago, it's a science.
So it’s either Rahm Emanuel or Che Garcia...Polonium or Cyanide? Leprosy or AIDS?
Ed Koch shot from the hip and never backed down. One of the few politicians I ever had respect for. D or R. A very wise man.
