Myrtle Beach police charged a woman with shoplifting after it was reported that she took a set of plates and a small bottle of olive oil from Wal-Mart, authorities said.
Officers were called about 4 p.m. Monday to Wal-Mart at 541 Seaboard Street where a loss prevention officer reported the incident, according to a police report.
Selena Reed, 50, was arrested and charged with shoplifting enhancement due to previous charges of property theft, police said.
Reed was seen removing items from the store shelf at Wal-Mart. She was apprehended by a loss prevention officer when she walked passed all points of sell and taken to the loss prevention office where police were called.
Reed revealed she had also taken a small bottle of olive oil in addition to a 16-piece plate set once she was escorted to the loss prevention office.
The total value of the items was reported to be just over $50, according to the report.
Police transported Reed to the Myrtle Beach Jail.
