Three Political Notes on the Oscars (So Far)
February 22, 2015
1) The host cant stop stoking racial grievance. Great exactly what America needs.
2) The idea that women dont have equal rights in this country is a lie a lie that, year after year, does harm.
3) Harry Belafonte is the opposite of a humanitarian: the loyal supporter of one of the most brutal dictatorships of our times, the Castro regime in Cuba, which has imprisoned, tortured, and killed thousands of innocent people.

Her role in Spaceballs alone is worthy of recognition. I loved her character!
I noticed it right away..my guess is that they left her out because Joan was pro Israel, remember that rant against the media and Selena Gomez for being Pro Palestinian
Why does anyone watch this crap?
Were a bunch of idiots that is why....myself included.
I’m not watching it... haven’t watched it since I was in college.
3 1/2 hour liberal borefest bores me to death.
That’s hours of my life I would never get back.
The academy’s image of itself is way too stuffy and self-important to recognize anything really comedic, unless it’s a high-minded, snooty kind humor. Never mind that good comedy is incredibly difficult to pull-off..
I guess I am ok that Eddie winning is ok since Bradley wasn’t going to win. I didn’t want benedict to win because of the liberal movie and I didn’t really want Michael Keaton to win because I can’t stand the gum chewing....lol. Eddie was so excited and seemed to appreciate it so much.
I was so sad that Glen Campbell’s “I’ll Won’t Remember You” but knew that politics trumps talent and accomplishment. To my daughter’s friend, Ashley Campbell, you looked beautiful tonight and so did your mom, Kim! What an awesome family they are and I pray for them and the journey they are on with Glenn and Alsheimers...
I miss Joan on QVC. No irony...
Who was the guy going on about more African Americans incarcerated than slaves during slavery? I didn’t realize so many incarcerated African Americans were innocent.....
Think I’ll go see American Sniper again just to protest the Hollyweirdos.
They also ignored Irene Dunne when she died, even though she was a major star in the 30s and 40s. She was an anti-communist.
I bet it won't work.
Never watch anymore.
Horrible....I will say this was one of the worst Oscars I have watched. Seriously the only one I was happy winning was Eddie......the rest of them sucked!
I agree. Worst Oscars ever. Not funny, offensive. Terrible music. Lady Gaga... a travesty.
John Legend, he is a singer, has pulled that before. He is another Kanye, looks more sedate but as you can see, is not.
1) That was the worst memorial tribute I have ever seen.
2) Which movies should Joan Rivers have been honored for?
