I see it the same way. For example, there are running jokes in which Raj will say something that you would only expect to hear from a gay man (a remark about fashion or something like that) which results in the others looking at him in a way that shows they really wonder about him sometimes.

Yep, and the routines when Howard and Raj start talking to each other like a couple...that's made fun of by the show, not promoted. Penny is a flaming heterosexual - her friends are, her ex boyfriends are - there is not even a whiff of a gay agenda on this show....amazing considering it's main star is gay in real life. See post 61 - some clueless Freeper made an absurd comment.

I think it does claim back the idea that a man can be artistic or sensitive and not be in the least gay.
