They’re just marketing to the Greenies. A dealership will say anything to get you in the door ... LOL ...
Dude, calm down. That appears to be an ad from a local car dealership, not the Ford Motor Company. You are certainly free to not give your business to that dealer, if it offends you.
That is only one dealer in the Dallas area trying to drum up business from the greenies. ;-)
Ford dealership. Exaggerate much?
I would just laugh and realize that its targeted at the Useful Idiots among us.-
And from a Texas dealer——I would have expected this type of thing here in MA.
.
So did you get the tune-up?
We need these, just re-name them "eco-booths" and watch the left take care of themselves...
That is an ad from a Dealership. They’re playing the greenies.
If you are taking a high mileage car to the dealer for service, your problems are bigger than the Glow - bull warming problem.
You do understand that the manufacturer can’t own a dealership in Texas, don’t you?
• Cars that were too American (read: Panther, E-Series van platforms) were removed from the lineup
• They downgraded everything to match the Europeans (I-4's in cars, 6's in trucks)
• They threw EcoBoost in everything with the thought it could make up for displacement (nope).
• They offered an I-4 in the Mustang.
• They faked audio, knowing that the engines wouldn't otherwise sound right for their audience.
Shame that Ford didn't show that sign to all the environmentalists - instead of pandering to them 110%.
If they really cared, the tune-ups would be free. Somebody should call Service Manager Gary and tell him that.
This is on par with those hotels that ask you to have the towels washed once a fortnight to save the planet.
Do note, however, that there is nothing in there about climate change and carbon dioxide is NOT listed as one of the bad emissions. And yes, carbon monoxide is a poison . . . trivial given what happens to it once it enters the big ol’ atmosphere, but a poison nonetheless.
What are they supposed to do - say that pollution from mis-tuned engines is a good thing?
Nothing wrong with pointing out a properly tuned engine gets better mileage. Yeah the current “reason” people want improved mileage is “global warming” but so what, better mileage is better mileage.
That’s clearly a local dealer association ad, or an independent dealer ad. That is not a Ford Corporate ad.
